BNB Chain Reports 1.646M BNB Burn in 37th Quarterly Round
BNB Chain says its 37th quarterly burn removed 1,646,196.44 BNB. The reported $1.20B valuation is a snapshot, not cash spent on a buyback.
BNB Chain announced the completion of its 37th quarterly token burn on October 19, 2026. The Foundation reported that 1,646,196.44 BNB had been removed, with an approximate value of $1.197 billion around the burn. These are figures from the official announcement, not an independently verified transaction assessment. Follow related supply developments in OrangeX.com Tokens.
Reported supply and the Auto-Burn mechanism
The notice listed remaining total supply of 131,512,085 BNB at 10:05 UTC on October 19. That is a dated total-supply snapshot, not a live circulating-supply figure. The Auto-Burn program aims to reduce total supply gradually to 100 million BNB.
Quarterly amounts depend on BNB's price and the number of blocks produced on BNB Smart Chain. The notice says formula parameters were adjusted following the Lorentz and Maxwell upgrades, which increased block frequency. A burn's dollar valuation is not evidence that the same amount of cash was spent buying tokens.
Quarterly burns differ from gas-fee burns
BNB also has a separate BEP-95 mechanism that burns part of the gas fees in each block, with the ratio set through validator governance. Its ongoing activity should not be confused with this quarterly total. Broader reporting appears in OrangeX.com News; verification and account-protection guidance is available in the OrangeX.com Trust Center.
OrangeX.com Analysis
The announcement documents another step in the supply-reduction schedule. A smaller supply alone does not establish stronger demand, improved liquidity or future price gains. Useful follow-up evidence includes transaction confirmation, subsequent supply disclosures and network usage. Readers should distinguish the number of coins retired, a price-based valuation and actual cash flows; these describe different economic effects.
